Acoustic treatment became part of the visual identity of the Brown-Forman Great Hall rather than something that needed to disappear.

What this shows

Acoustics, graphics, architecture, and meaning.

The public case study documents the development of large custom printed absorptive elements and suspended treatments for the Great Hall. The portraits and quotations needed to be visually significant while the other treatment receded into the architecture.

  • Large reverberant multipurpose hall
  • Custom printed absorptive portraits and quotations
  • Large-scale artwork preparation and technical consultation
  • Suspended baffles selected to blend with the exposed structure
